HI! I'm Shannon. I am:
I have not always been all of these things. I was the one crying in the closet because, despite all of my efforts, I still didn't love what I saw in the mirror. I was the one too terrified to go to the gym, or really to do anything on my own. I was the wallflower, happy to be cheering on everyone else and keep the attention far away from me. I was the one who gave up countless times because I didn't believe in myself.
What changed? I finally had ENOUGH. I hit rock bottom and needed to believe in myself for once. I needed to prove to myself that I was capable, strong, and powerful. The change didn't happen overnight. Or even a year. But once I finally started working towards changing my MENTAL and PHYSICAL state, I knew there was no going back. Every day it was uncomfortable, and frustrating, and exhausting! It still can be! But I know that the work is worth it.
I had no idea my search for self-discovery and empowerment would lead me to where I am today. It has not been an easy road, and a lot was lost along the way. But through the heartache and growth, I found ME. I've found my passion for both physical and mental health (you really can't have one without the other), and I thrive sharing it with those who are ready to make the change for themselves.
I am not done developing me, that is a liftime journey! And I am excited to continue being uncomfortable, making hard decisions, and pushing myself to grow. I take the same passion I have for my own growth and apply it to every one of my clients who are ready to grow and change. Over the years I have helped hundreds of men and women create lifestyle habits and achieve their goals, and I am so grateful for their trust and vulnerability in allowing me into their lives in order to teach and help them tap into their strength and power.

The moment I realized that I was winning due to your coaching and guidance is when I turned a corner from my unhealthy habits and started CHOOSING healthier habits. I suddenly could visualize myself becoming stronger (mentally more so than physically), I could visualize who I really was and what I really want to accomplish. My thoughts about myself and my journey with food/health are mostly positive, and when they aren’t I have the tools to redirect and get myself to a place of grace so that I can keep going with my goals.
Life now has become hopeful. I can see the results of my goals in my mind, and everyday I actually WANT to put forth the effort of working hard, and fueling my body to achieve those goals.
When you encouraged me to start using myfitness pal and taught me how to count my own macros, I realized that I was easier than I thought. And I knew that I could make my own healthy meal plans and wouldn’t need to rely on a nutrition coach forever.
I have more confidence in myself now, knowing that I have the experience and knowledge to create my own meal plans, and workout routines on my own. I know that I can achieve anything I set my mind too. I also learned that discipline isn’t fun. But it’s worth it!
